Ecology activist Greta Thunberg is on the cover of Time

The most famous and influential climate-activist has been named as one of the ‘next generation leaders’

The world known climate-activist, Greta Thunberg, is on the latest cover of TIME magazine, declaring that, now, she is ‘speaking to the whole world’.

The sixteen-year-old environmentalist, who featured on TIME’s Influential People Of 2019 list for her efforts demanding political action to save the environment last month, is now the magazine’s cover star.

In an interview with Suyin Haynes, a Senior Reporter covering gender and culture for TIME, Greta discusses what started the school strike, how her diagnosis of Asperger’s gives her ‘determination’, and hows she balances fame and studying.

“Sometimes I feel like it’s not happening because it’s like two completely different worlds. Here I am just a quiet girl, and there I am very famous,” Greta said.

The activist also addresses criticism she’s received online, telling Haynes: “It’s quite hilarious when the only thing people can do is mock you, or talk about your appearance or personality, as it means they have no argument or nothing else to say.

Ina conclusion she added that haters wont stop her, because she knows that the climate work she’s doing, is so much more important.
